Early voting for the Nov. 5 general election begins Sept. 20. The last day to vote early is Nov. 2. Early voting is available at 317 Kimball Ave NE, Roanoke, VA 24016.

On November 5, 2024, the following positions will be open for re-election in the City of Roanoke: Mayor and three city council seats.

**Note: If Joeseph Cobb is elected Mayor, City Council will likely appoint someone to fill the term until the next election in 2025 or appoint someone for the remainder of the 2-year term. If he should not win, he will revert back to his City Council position.
